WHY READ

- Unique game system! There are warm-up games and the actual games themselves are inspired from actual things such as real games or events in human history
- both are very smart, their methods can be unconventional at times but it works, and they're terrifying when they work together.
- An Wujiu's mental state and how his personality changes is interesting to read, his approaches in winning the game differ per personality too
- side characters' are fun to read! there's side cps too (although as of now they're unofficial)
- It's the way that Shen Ti never had any interest in things until he met An Wujiu, and that An Wujiu, despite his missing memories and Shen Ti's lies, finds comfort in the other.

SETTING & NOTES

- Set in the (unknown) far future (21st century is already considered as Old Earth Era)
- Set in America (One of the locations mentioned that were outside the Altar was Philadelphia)
- technology is very advanced in this era, many humans would have bionic parts in their bodies, and many undergo cosmetic surgeries
- the rich are incredibly rich while the poor are incredibly poor, t o the point where even education is a luxury only few could afford
- the contents in warm-up games give hints to the players on what the actual game will be as both are connected. winners of warm-up games get perks when it comes to the main game.
- The Altar is a survival game where a player cannot escape playing the game once they join. If they finish the game, they can return to reality, however, they must return before their next game starts or else they will face consequences.
